What does empowerment look like to you?

We started JUNE to empower the community around us.

During this pandemic - many of you have stepped up to take action in your own community. Whether you raised funds, sponsored cup purchases, or made individual donations throughout your community - we see you and we're all about it!

We want to take this time to highlight a group of young women who raised over $2000 in their local community of Minnesota and donated 350 June Cups to local womens' shelters in their community and abroad.

Shelby Johnson (bottom left) is a Labor & Delivery Nurse in Minnesota pictured above with her three roommates Hannah Douglas, Hannah Zimmerman and Alyssa Kolb.

Their efforts supported the following organizations:

  • Haven Housing, Minneapolis, MN
  • Saint Anne's Place, Minneapolis, MN
  • Tubman Home, Maplewood, MN
  • The Link, Minneapolis, MN
  • Mid-Minnesota Women's Center, Brainerd, MN
  • The Dwelling Place, Minneapolis, MN
  • Healing Haiti, Port-au-Prince, Haiti

JUNE is always excited to hear about these initiatives and will support your grassroots efforts in whatever way we can - whether it's matching your donation, donating literature - or initiating a partnership - do not hesitate to reach out to us. If you'd like to be featured on our blog please feel free to reach out to us at hello@thejunecup.com.
